  • Rear Power Socket

My 2014 Prado had the rear power socket marked as 220 volts, 100 watts. I have a battery pack that houses a 60 ah battery. The battery pack power plug states the input is 240vac 50Hz. Am wondering if it is safe to plug this into my Prado's socket. Don't want to damage the car or the battery pack.

    Any help will be appreciated.

You need to look at the wattage of the battery pack, if the charger draws less
    than a 100W you can.

Thanks for this but all the charger has written on it is what I have quoted above.

It doesn't even state the current draw?

I suggest you look on eBay for a new sticker so it will work...

Plug the thing in and see what happens. Surely if the current draw is more than X amps, a fuse will pop somewhere.

My 4 amp charger draws 132 watts...so even it is a bit big to use that outlet...

What voltage is that? The numbers don't add up.

yep that does not add up unless the charger is less than 50% efficient.
