  • Toyo A/T II

Have any of you guys got these tyres?
Doesn't seem to be a ton of info on them in Australia, everyone seems to mostly stick with BFG and Cooper.
They could be a good alternative, they appear to be very popular in the US.
I like the look of them and they have good reviews in other countries and the Pajero forum. The tyre shop says they are THE best light truck construction All Terrain out there. Not sure I believe that....but I might give them a shot.

They certainly look like they are worth a shot! Just wish there was more info on them in Australia

What's the going rate per tyre in LT?
Never had a problem with using Toyo on my cars in the past

I was under the impression they were a bit cheaper than the bfg's.
Tyreright online has them at $359.

Great price. Assuming that it is the LT version rated at 120R? What tyre shop did you get it from?

Edit: This guy got a great deal back when the AT2 first came in

Similar price to D697's. You get a better load rating with Toyo. If you get a chance, can you take a picture of the sidewall where it says how many tread plies and how many side wall plies.

                Thanks,

Its a Tyre Power, I was told they are the LT, from what I was looking at on the site all the A/T 2 in that size are Light Truck.
This link below, and then you click on sizes and it shows the 265/65/17 as light truck with the 120r Rating.

I'm having them fitted tomorrow so I'll get some pictures up with more details on the tyres.

It was looking through that pajero forum that helped me decided these tyres are ok. They seem to be almost the only ones in Australia that have first hand experiences with that tyre. Seems to be a ton of people in America with these tires, and they seem to love them, shame I couldn't find other prados that had been running them for a while. Guess I'll be the guinea pig!

                      I got the tyres fitted!
I'm very happy with them! Slight bit of noise, but not like a mud terrain. I guess thats because the tread is so deep, deeper than I thought they would be, there are slanted bits of rubber next to each block of tread, these are meant to be rock ejectors. Could be a gimmick...no rocks so far though.
Little bit of tread coming onto the side wall, makes them look tough.
An arm AND a leg cheaper than bfg and cooper.
They are light truck, I've got photos of the tyres and specs.
I'm really looking forward to giving them a shot on the beach on Saturday.

Looks awesome. It actually fills the wheel arches more like a 70 profile than a 65 profile tyre.

Yes! I'm really happy! Such deep tread on them!

Very nice. I think I know what I'm going to get after my D697 wear out.

They seem to be quite wide grooves. Great for grip. It will be interesting how they wear.
