  • 16x6 rims with 265/75/r16

hi guys and girls, ive been reading thru heaps of old posts and am still not quite sure so thought I would ask, I have a 98 rv6 world cup edition, it has 16x6 rims with I think 225/75 on it, im looking at buying some bf Goodrich a/t 265/75/r16 off tyresales and was wondering if they would fit on my rims, im leaning towards no so was also wondering what offset sunraysia steelys id need to buy to fit them on, cheers

Hey, if you just search that tyre size on pradopoint you will find heaps of threads relating to it, just change the search setting to 'Begging' at the bottom of the page.

I found this helpful website very helpful also. It outlines very quickly what is easy or not for the 90 series.

I have the 16x6 also, I went for a taller thinner tyre for better economy and more clearance (235/85 R16)

If your asking whether 265/75R16's can be fitted to a 6" wide rim, then the answer depends on the make/model of the tyre, and the answer will come from the manufacturer or tyre shop. However, I suspect for this case, it won't fit. Eg, Mickey Thompson MTZ's in that size require 7-8" rims. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com.a...x.php?page=MTZ

If buying new rims, 265/75R16 and 255/85R16 will hold better with 7" wide. If you plan on 285/75R16's one day then 8" might be an option. For offset I'm not quite sure on your model. I know 0 offset works fits well with GXL's but if yours does not have flares, you may have to keep it narrower, such as +15. Someone else's experience with an RV would be ideal right now. PS - it should be pretty easy to find some secondhand GXL alloy rims (which happen to be +15 offset).

I that wheel is +30 from memory, I have the RV and didn't want to have to get flares, so i opted for the thinner to keep it all legal.
