I have run the track log for a trip if that's what you mean, that's easy enough, but have never thought about sharing with anyone else, so not sure how to do that.

    Cheers Andrew

I was looking at this app for my iphone.
So am I right in assuming that the GPS functionality still works even if you have no mobile reception?

I run the Hema mobile App on my Sammy Tab2.

So far I have not had any issues with sat reception, but I have been very local so far.

to get the best out of the mobile platform make sure your not running any other Aps in the background.. it can slow things down.

A good plus is I can download my App when I upgrade my hardware, you cant do this with the NH7.

I have been traveling through Arnhem Land over the last week in a 4wd for work, no issues with GPS reception on my phone while using the app.

I've only had my Hema\ipad combo for a few weeks and although its proven itself to be excellent I still haven't been able to master this feature.

              Cheers

I've been using HEMA Cloud to research/download other people's triplogs..... It's been a great tool containing people's trip reports & photos..... There is starting to get a bit of rubbish triplogs in there, but basically its pretty good to date..... Over time it might become a bit tool cluttered with useless info though

Have the iPad app, and love it (particularly the larger screen the iPad offers).
Just wish I could find a decent windscreen holder that can hack the outback roads.

On my Ipad air, I use this holder on its side

I rest the bottom lip on my dash matt as well. doesn't move a mm.
Ram also have triple suction mount as well if you need to go even further or have really corrugated roads or heavy weights.

                      Cheers

I've used the triple suction mount for an iPad 2 in a 120 series. No problems at all on very corrugated roads, even out to Red Bluff.

I rested the iPad2 on the lip at the front of the clock on a 120 series to keep it as low on the windshield as possible.

So, of the two ipad/iphone apps available, which is the closest to the HN7?
That comparison thing from Hema only confused me.....not that thats hard!

The Hema 4wd app would be the closest comparison, I have the explorer app as well, that was a waste of money IMO, but others seem to like it.
