1998 Grande, had 140,000km when we bought it, now 340,000km and humming along. Just a great rig all-round! The wife won't let me update it!

        Hi

we bought our 1999 Snowy GXL in 2003 and have now done over 207k. Replaced the clutch once and just put in a new steering rack otherwise just regular servicing. A great vehicle.

I bought mine new in 1998. Has now done 210Km.
Has been reliable. Always serviced at 6 month intervals.
            It goes well.
Have been thinking about updating, but all the talk of dodgy injectors and other issues with the new models,
makes me think i'll hang onto it for a few more years yet.

            Cheers Mal

385K on the V6 and no signs of stopping any time soon. I'm actually sinking more money into it to make it an even nicer drive.

Got mine August 96 has done 290,00 kms. Original clutch, alternator and starter motor (changed solenoid contacts twice 20$ each time). One front drive boot and axle seal. Injectors have never been out, good reliable motoring. I also have a 2014 model diesel and from what I read the original injectors will have been changed long before it gets to 290,000 k's.

1997 RV6 with 383k & LPG since 60k. Engine doesn't miss a beat. Needs starter motor solenoid contacts replaced, thus the forum lurking...

Bought our 98 a year ago put 10k on the clock now up to 383k km . Only issue was popped a spark plug out the top and ripped the thread out. Guys at Prothread were able to put a helix in without taking the head off ($100) and its been good for almost 2000 kms so far.

                        97 petrol, auto GXL
                        420000km
Bought in 2009 with 285000 on the clock and had minimal issues since
Starter motor contacts, alternator, stabiliser support arms, tie rod and rack ends.
Still goes great, just gave it new oil etc today.
Paintwork badly sunburnt on bonnet and roof but it does live outside.
1997 petrol auto, 430 000km. Still going strong.
2004 petrol auto, 233 000km. Cracked dash and no help from Toyota!

2001 KZJ95R, GXL manual diesel, bought second hand in 2006 & never missed a beat, now 225,000 kms. Service it myself as local garage couldn't follow Toyota's maintenance schedule & charged a motza. Replaced usual wear items over time to maintain its reliability and condition: shocks, suspension bushes, steering rack, starter motor contacts etc, helped considerably from good advice & experience on PradoPoint. Should easily reach 500,000 kms with no plans to retire it. Still enjoy other 4WDrivers amazement at how capable it is off road, don't care that it's not the fastest on highway
