Prado break in

So recently some clown decided to break Into my prado. They cracked the door handle open and flicked the central locking actuator off the back of the lock, pushed the actuator down and bingo all the doors opened. Now I know some newer cars use a "theft plate" that stops people from doing exactly that, is that a thing on the newer prados? Mines a 1999 snowy. Has anyone had a similar experience with this and know how to prevent it from happening again. Cheers.

I haven't had similar experiences but I do know one thing - it doesn't matter how well you engineer locks - if a thief wants, a thief gets. Make it stronger and the window will be next.

My 90 series got a screw driver through the drivers door handle and they gained access. Stole and AC/DC cd and about $5 in change. Left me with a $500 repair bill. I still feel sorry for those little guys and would like to meet them to see if I can help improve their lives in any way. You know, maybe increase their daily lead intake with one of those fast delivery systems,........ direct to the head. God bless them.

HOWEVER the arsholes that do this do not have my respect and my point stands, maybe not shoot them but knock some serious sense into the deadshite? DEFINITELY! Respect is a two way street, you deserve it because you have done nothing wrong, they do not, they set the scene, until that point they also had my respect. Pretty easy equation to follow.

To the named but undisclosed person re the reputation system, I don't mind it. I would prefer if people took the time to write why which most do and if they say who they are which is not compulsory.

The system has a weighting based upon numerous factors I don't really comprehend. Suffice to say a neg from a long standing large volume poster has more effect than a newish person with say 8 posts and an undersized funny boner, no I mean funny bone (sorry typo).

I guess I have had a few negative posts which I probably deserve, but the system works such that those that are used to my poor attempt at humour either ignore it or go easy on dissing out neg reps. In addition there are a few long term members that like my humour which more than compensates. Thank God for access to the forum for lonely souls that used to own a Prado and now reside in mental institutions.

Finally I do not leave expensive items like Backstreet Boys Albums or signed Whitney Houston in my car!. Did you know she was sponsored by coke. True, until she died, then they realised things don't always go better with coke..........

I am allergic to Jim Beam, I tried it once in a controlled environment using a diluted form (coke) and reacted by vomiting, dizziness and a fever that lasted 12 hours.

He's gonna be up all night worrying about it.

Yes it shook me all night long. I had thoughts of hiring someone to commit dirty deeds but only if they could be done dirt cheap. With such thoughts I guess I'm on the highway to hell?

Also with neg rep, im on a few forums over the last 7 yrs and have only ever left 1 neg rep.
If i read something i disagree with it does not mean i need to neg rep it,everyone is entitlted to their opinion.
