Can someone confirm the size of the bolts that hold the read door hinge to the door and to the body (11mm too small, 12mm too large!!!) and what is the weight of the rear door ?

    Bolts are 12mm on mine!

    No idea of door weight.

    Cheers Andrew

12mm for mine as I have undone them to reset. Why do you want to know the weight. Very very heavy with the tyre on it.

And with 12mm bolts, what does everyone think of using the Maxtrax holders off the spare?

Would love to move them off the roof racks, but closing the door with just the standard load is difficult enough.

The bolts aren't an issue for adding Maxtrax, but sagging or cracking doors is an issue even at standard weight, adding more weight isn't going to help.

To avoid sagging and cracking is one reason I built my rear bar, to get the spare off the door.

          Cheers Andrew

Yep, without being biased...I wouldn't want the extra weight of four MAXTRAX hanging of my rear door over rough terrain. But if I had a rear wheel carrier then I'd most likely fit them on the back.

And on the side of the rack!!! 😜

              12mm on 120 model, doesn't matter 2003 or 2009, petrol or diesel.

I think you are trying bolts with the wrong thread... take 1 original bolt and get all info from your local fasteners store, but don't go to the big green shed or other DIY places
