I've just received mine, and the rear coils are labelled as CSHDLXT and the fronts CSHLXLD, with the shocks being B46 1478 LT (24-237024) and 24-218528.

Just wanting to confirm before I look at fitting!
Might want to measure everything before fitting. It also helps to populate the suspension database too.

    • Yeah will measure everything before and after, but more just wanted to make sure that it was all the right parts!

Hi Mate, measuring the car before and after install is one thing but before you install anything you should measure the free standing height of the springs and also the closed and open (open a tad more important) lengths of the shocks and struts.

As per most of the info in this thread, if you have open length struts of 555mm then they are hardly long travel being the same length as the stock struts... they will be absolutely useless for a 3" lift and highly questionable even for a 2"lift.

Nothing deleted. There's another thread that you are probably thinking instead.

I just installed a standard 712 Bilstein strut with some Roadsafe HD strut tops and got some good measurements.
While the Bilstein shock has a 555mm open length, when assembled with these strut tops the assembled strut measures 570 from the mounting face of the strut top to the centre of the lower mounting bush.

              I'm getting,
              790mm (40mm lift)
885mm max extension giving 95mm droop.

If I did a 3" lift (75mm) this setup would still give me 60mm droop which is OK. I also checked the closed length geometry and I still have about 20mm before bottoming out the shock.

Some pics and more info in this thread.
