Just got my car back yesterday and it looks like new again, new colour coded ARB bar and everything looking schmicko.
Only one issue though, they replaced my ARB winch bar with a non-winch bar. I have zero intentions of ever fitting a winch. The kind of driving I do (outback touring in the desert) I don't really see the point, I figure I'd get better value out of spending the money on snatch straps/recovery tracks.
My question for you guys is, is it worth me chasing it up through the repairer? Have I lost big $$$ value on the car now?

Apples for apples IMO . I'm not saying they are trying to shonk you. Most probably an honest mistake but one that personally I would want rectified.

From a resale point of view I doubt it would make the slightest difference whether the bar is winch compatible or not, so if you never want to fit a winch I wouldn't think its any money out of your pocket. You might even prefer the "neater" look without the fairlead hole in the front of the bar.
Is the perceived loss in value worth the time and effort for you to chase it up and get it changed? Only you can answer that.

ARB. One of the best if not the best bars out there. I hit a red one night coming back from Coral Bay and the bar saved the front passenger corner of the car but it managed to bounce off the bar and into the passenger door and stow it in.
Still had to get a new door but without a steel bar you can kiss your headlight and panelling good bye at best, or push your whole radiator into your engine block at worst[B]Cheers Gary[B]
