What Automatic transmission fluid are people using to top up their oil coolers?
I am having trouble getting 1 litre bottle of Toyota WS ATF, can only get 4 litre.

          oil cooler brackets

Brackets are lasercut 2mm stainless steel. Bracket kit will include bolts and nuts. These brackets suit the Davies Craig 678 cooler. I have also provided holes for mounting the thermo fan if you want the extra protection.

Cost will be $40 which includes 2 brackets, fastners and standard postage in Australia. If there is enough interest I will post up a new thread in the For Sale section.

please put me on order for a set!

          look good

I too blame the ScanGauge. Just fitted it a couple of days ago. Today we saw 120 degrees at the torque converter coming up the hill to home on a 26 degree day. I'll be very interested to see what it is towing the caravan (~1800kg) up that same hill without the additional oil cooler.

We've towed the van some fair distances on 35 - 40 degree days. The Prado is due for a 70,000km service soon so based on discussions here we'll get the auto transmission fluid changed when it goes in.

120 Transmission cooler bracket - a/c pipe support

Any way we could get a fit up for the 120s as well, Tin?
Had a look at a 120 on the weekend. It just needs an extra bracket to support the air con pipe. I'll get a few cut with my next laser cut order if any 120 owner's are interested.

Just wondering what the reason is for picking the 678 over the 677? The 678 is listed as being for 8 cylinder vehicles whereas the 677 is for 6 cylinders (according to Supercheap website). There's also a 679 which is listed as being for 4WDs.

Torque is the key. The D4D punches out over 400Nm so the V8 cooler is a good match.
