  • Bosch Aerotwin Wiper Blades - 150 Series

Can anyone confirm the correct part nos for the Aerotwin blades for the 150 Series (GRJ150)? I did try searching but the thread in the 120 section didn't answer my question.

I've had a look in the Bosch catalogue and it lists AR701S as the "performance" blade but nothing under "standard" :-

    http://aa-boschap-au.resource.bosch....gue_Lo-res.pdf

It lists 650/500mm as the driver/passenger lengths respectively.

I have been sold BBA650 and BBA500 which ties with the length. just want to check I have the right ones before ripping open the packages.

Ok, found the information I needed online at :- http://au.bosch-automotive-shop.com/en

You have to select the diesel model to find the correct part nos for the 150, info seem to have been missed on the petrol.

I fitted my wipers today and it was really easy, have made some pics to illustrate.

Step 1 - Open hook on wiper blade where it clips to arm :-

Didn't get a clear shot with blade on the arm but you should get the idea.

Step 2 - Pull blade down towards you to unhook it from the arm :-

Step 3 - Open clip cover on new Bosch blade :-

You need to pinch it at the sides where the little ridges are in the plastic then lift the clip up to open it (top blade is the Bosch one).

Step 4 - Slide new blade over hook :-

You need to pass the hook through the opened clip, then slide the curved part of the clip into the hook before locking the clip down.

    Step 5 - Close clip :-

Step 6 - New blade in place :-

The old and new blades on the driver's side are pretty much the same length but the passenger's side one is a bit longer :-

It's not raining in Melbourne today so just tried them with the washers and they seem to clear the screen well and are quiet. I did notice a little judder at the bottom of the downward stroke on the driver's side but maybe that's just because the blade is new, will see how it goes.

I assume they haven't caused any linkage wear in the mechanism? The extra drag is what worries me.

I use these on my old X5, Audi, Mitsubishi ......etc... you name it. They are great, smoother operation, last A LOT LONGER than standard crap too.

I bought mine on Ebay, not a Bosch brand but a local guy that has over thousand of 100% feed back.

At first i was worry if they're going to withstand Aussie winter but after reading on American X5 forums, their winter are a lot harsher and they still work fine.

I'm a bit disappointed that Toyota still use standard wiper on the Prado 150.

Extra drag from what? The passenger one is a bit longer than OEM but the blade arm itself is a lot lighter.

V6 with the "extra drag" will be fine...(dunno bout the diesels though....).

I used to replace my wipers every Autumn. I have a new set for my 120. They are still wrapped up because the old ones are too good to replace after 2 years.

Just been looking back at old posts of when I replaced mine on the 120 and it's getting close to 3 years. They are ready to replace now...
