        Hello All,

Haven't graced PP for quite a while since I sold my Prado but when I heard that the GTG was in Tassie I wanted to have a look.

Since being here I have found the following book to be excellent and as we visit different areas we consult the 4WD Tracks in Tasmania book and tick each as we go.

Most of the 4wd and map shops here carry the book and is considered to be somewhat of a bible for 4wding in Tassie.

Highly recommend if you are staying for a while.

The book also is updated online so any closures/opening/changes are listed but I am unable to find this site without my book in front of me.

Enjoy Tassie - it is a wonderful place

Do any of you Tasmanians know anything about this guy and where he is? http://www.thecutlersgalley.com/

I heard him on the conversations hour on the ABC radio the other day. This sort of thing fascinates me and I would love to check it out if time permits.

          Cheers Andrew

Have never heard of him but a starting point might just be the Salamanca Market in Hobart. The market is every Saturday.

I don't think we will make the markets, first 2 Saturdays are tied up with the GTG and the third one we need to get on the boat to go home

              Cheers Andrew

He lives in Longley, just north of Huonville, call in at the Longley pub and they could direct you Andrew to his bush block.

                    • Bush block at Longley? I won't get into secondary smoke that could be seen down there.....

There is also "just up the road" a very good bakery in the middle of nowhere...

Only about a half hour from me.

Might bump into some of you at Port Arthur today.
