If anyone is heading up the west coast while they are here drop into " The Wall" just south of Derwent Bridge. It is a long barn type building with 2 walls filled with large continuous wood carvings. Worth a look

Is it caravan freindly?

It's a camp ground with 4 toilets (clean). No water supply, no dunny dumps. Just grassy spots amongst trees. You can get a caravan in easily but there are no facilities. The possums there are very clever and nasty. One got into my rear wheel bag twice even though it was properly zipped. After I tried to coax him out with kind words, it escalated to harsh words, a dousing with cold water which still didn't work. I then put on gloves and tried for a manual extraction but the little fella bit me. I then had to remove the bag from the wheel and put it in the car after giving the bag a big hit to eject the possum.

Well if you swore at me then threw cold water on me i would probably bite you too. Especially if i was in a cosy spot with free food

Nothing left for us to do this trip in Tassie except for the leaving

Lined up at the ferry looking forward to another smooth sailing tonight and then non stop to home!

Not nearly as exciting as 2 weeks ago when we were lined up to come over here. Still plenty of unfinished business on Tassie so it won't be our last visit.

For those heading from west coast/Mount Field area back to Hobart, the salmon Ponds and Whiskey Distillery are worth a look at Bushy Park.

Then there is our place, where cold beverages await....

We had the smoothest sailing imaginable, even smoother than the trip over

We are also parked at the very front of the ship so should be first vehicle off the boat so we can get the hell out Melbourne ASAP.

We've just arrived home.

I think the ferry must have hit a whale on the crossing. There was a huge bang. Either that or a small boat, but nothing on the news.
The crossing was a little rougher than the first one.

Now to sort out all the pics and videos. Tassie really deserves more time. I will have to return another time. The West coast needs some more exploring. Montezuma falls track was certainly interesting. It was all in all a great trip. Many thanks to the organising team. You all did a great job.

Don't feel too bad about not seeing everything - I've lived here 15 years, and am doing my first trip to Bruny Island!
