    I totally agree with retroenduro and think its the tailshaft binding due to lack of grease. I had this problem a couple of years ago and since then, when getting a service, always pointed out to the service organisation the item "grease prop shaft". Never had the problem since.
    2009 150 series GXL D4D, graphite, Toyota tow bar, tint, mats, headlight and bonnet protectors, DIY toolbox under bonnet, DIY mudflap extensions, Uniden UHF with remore control microphone, Tekonsha P3 Prodigy, Anderson plug, reverse camera modifed to see towball.

      Same for me my money would be on the tail shaft splines binding and then releasing as the suspension squats as it changes down. Give the slip joints a good greasing and see if you can get it to replicate.
      If this is the problem, harass Toyota for a new tail shaft with the Teflon slip joint, makes the thud/ clunk go away and should be a warranty item as it us a known issue.
