48 month 80k Service costs?

Hi

I am wondering if anyone could advise an approx cost of a KDJ150R 48 month 80,000 km service.

I seem to get a different quote from Toyota at $1200 - $1400 advisinfg it is a major service.

Where as if I try and look the same service up on fixedpricecarservice.com.au and they range from $380 - $580ish

On carservice.com.au I get quoted $863 - $1090

As you can see these vary alot!

I appreciate anyones feedback greatly.

I think Ultratune are around the $750-800 mark, but give them a ring and they'll quote you up.

Thanks cbm8880 I just can't believe the difference in the pricing on offer! I guess I will have to go with the one I trust more even if it costs a little extra.

Mine goes into toyota for the 80k service on Monday for a quoted $1150, how I miss fixed price servicing!

That's valid logic. Mine is currently with Toyota because it is in a lease, but the moment it comes off I'll be taking it to my local Ultratune as I trust the bloke who runs the place. They have the same checklist and access to the same parts. I can only assume that they both use apprentices too.

Woww what a difference my 80,000km service was 250.00, of course its the small 2.7

Toyota in Qld quoted me $508 for the 100k service, not sure of the difference between that and the 80k though.

80,000km service is major. You should aim for around $800.

AMTS I think you are on the money. I have however found that alot of the places I have rung did not know nor were they going to change the Tank Transfer filter which is a second fuel filter underneath the body somewhere near the fuel tanks above the rear diff. I have learnt allot buy just making these phone calls! By the way I just rang the same Toyota dealership back and got quoted $1450 which was different to the first quote. Go figure. Now out of warranty I'll be going back to my old mechanic Toyo's labour is like their parts just plain STUPID !!!

I just paid $1400 for 80,000 kms service from Toyota even though my odometer reading is only 40,000Km..ohh yess also free capuccino and a biscuit at the reception Lol
