Don't know which is a worse topic to start an argument at the moment - tyres or dual batteries!!!!

Yokohama Geolanders work great for me. As quiet as the AT22's and good on and off-road.

      Ain't that the truth

With our first Prado we did 50k on the original Grandtreks including the Flinders Ranges, up the Oodnadatta track, around the red centre and plenty more. Honestly they were fine and we passed plenty of people with "better" tyres stopped with flats, pressure off road is more important than tyre choice IMO.

      Cheers Andrew

I have friends here at work who used to have ATRs and ever since they replaced them with a set of muddies they will never go back to using ATRs.
When the treads wear out on my dunnies I will be replacing mine with a set of BFGs muddies T/A KM2 285/70/17 ($300+).

2 cents - I have one of those Radar tyres for sale here

It looks quite good, but have never used it. It certainly went across the Simpson without any issues, but then it was on the roof.

Does anyone have any photos of a 150 prado with a 2" lift with slightly bigger all terrain tyres... 31's or 32's? (This is the plan for mine shortly but I would like to see how it looks before I spend some $$)

Have a look through the rig build section, most of them likely cover your description, a 2" lift and 32's is almost standard here

I just got Bridgestone D697 Duellers and find them very quiet and comfortable. I haven't been offroad Yet but in a couple of weeks they will get a workout. Got 265 65 17 for $230 a piece at Bob Jane Brookvale. Great service fitted in 35 minutes while I waited.

Hello rooster, When you geta chance, can you have a look at the side wal of your new tyres and just check/confim that they have the letters LT (Light Truck ) ėmbossed, thanks so much, Also, just a comment, some people have commented that the road noise (as well as grip etc obviously) is very different when a tyre is new vs when it is starting to wear, so you may find that noise gets worse as you rack up some km, perhaps.. Thanks for sharing your info about price. Did that price include fitting and balancing?

                          Hi Brogers
So far so good on the noise I will keep an ear out as I put km's on.
Regards the tyres Yes they are LT light truck I checked this morning.
For those in Sydney I found the cheapest were Tempe Tyres. They have a website with prices. I was lucky as I rang Bob Jane just to check his prices and he matched.
Hope this helps and have a great weekend all.
