150 Rear Door Jamming

Just had a call from the wife .. not happy that the rear door on our 2010 150 won't open from the outside? Can still be opened from the inside so the mechanism is still working.

Told her I will look at it tonight but just wondered if anyone knows much about this problem as I have googled and not found anything yet.

I think the outside lock is electric yes?? Might be an elec problem or something like that?

All good guys .... turns out the lock is sticky and you need to push the door in an bit to let it release. A frustrated wife was obviously pulling it as well as trying to squeeze the opener therefore defeating herself .. and I suspect the more it didn't open, the more frustrated she got, the harder she tugged etc etc.

Should have seen the look on her face when I walked up to the car when I got home from work and opened it up straight away .... priceless

Good one. If you want to see that same look, take her for a 3 week outback trip! The dust really clogs up the mechanism.
