I know there is a thousand dual battery threads and I have gone thru a few of them including every page of the main one in the 150 section. The search function is not the best here as it brings up too many results
Want I wanted to know is
1. I'm installing a redarc sbi12 isolator underbonnent and the red arc site say to install a 100a cb/fuse near both batteries. I'm using 32mm cable to connect them and was going to install the cb near the main battery but the 1 between isolator and aux battery would be between 2 very short cables as the isolator would be sitting right next to the battery. There would probably be less than 200mm all up. Is it necessary?
2. Anybody running a d34 optima yellow top as their main battery. I was going to get that as my aux battery and when the main died swap it over then get another d34 later. When I asked the guy at autobarn to suggest a optima he said only the d27f is suitable. But I think that is too large and heavy for either side without a few mods
