Head lights for Grande

Hi there,
I’m not happy with the poor head lights on the 120 Parado. I tried HID kits and had too many people flashing me on low beam so changed back to the STD headlights. Has anyone here fitted any of the aftermarket projector style headlights? Or has another globe one could try to improve the headlights.
I have a good set of spotties but you can’t use them much with oncoming traffic.

I fitted the Philips Xtreme Vision +80% and it is good. Better output than factory. Don't go too high or they won't last.

I have HID's but had them lowered so they do not offend people. BTW, if you have a 2 inch you should lower them also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still have my HID kit so my try to lower them. How did you lower them? And did this not affect the quality of the beam?

I tried doing it but got frustrated and lost an 8mm sidchrome socket in the process. At that point I moved to plan B and I got the guys at the dealer to do it when I had a service.

The result is I don't quite have the field of view I had but I did instruct them to lower it dramatically. I dont think the cahnge will affect your vision if they lower it to the normal alignment or slightly lower.

I guess I just wanted to be 150% sure the w4nker coming at me with high beam deserves his/her retinas being burnt out with 3 x 100 watt spotties and a 30 inch light bar. Just saying.......

really i find the stock lights to be pretty damn good actually. what exactly dont you like about them? Are the lenses cloudy or the reflectors damaged in any way?

Regarding your question I myself have been looking at these projector lights. A friend has the hilux versions of these and is quite happy with them. Type in

Razorback has the angel eyes but he took them off. can't remember the reason.

Thanks for all the info, went a bought a set of the Phillips Xtreme Vision. They were really good and much better then to STD globe. But as luck would have it I was on my way to Hervey Bay on Monday towing my boat to go on a fishing trip. And from out of nowhere 4 kangaroos decided they were going to cross the road. I hit the first one at about 90 and just clipped the second one. Needless to say my Prado now needs a new left side light and full bumper. So going to fit a new ARB bull bar now.

Maybe you just need different globes . When I bought my prado and drove it at night , a was amazed at how good the lights were . I put IPF spot and spread lights on the bullbar , but the spread beam offers nothing better than the headlights . Wish I bought 2 spots .

Same here, standard low beam is fine but wish I had 2 spots instead of spot spread.

I have a set of HID spotties that will go on the new bull bar, so should be fine once its all back together.
