  • Sunroof drain problem

    Hi all,

I have a Land Cruiser Prado from 2000, and although the engine (1KD-FTV) is running smoothly, many body items have been seriously repaired badly. That's Kenya for you, I suppose.

    Anyway, here's my current issue:
When there are heavy rain falls, the left side of the sunroof leaks, passenger's seat gets all wet. I've found out that they've blocked the front left drain hose with some sealant. Couldn't imagine why, so I removed it. Tested the hose. And guess what, now the whole left floor gets wet. Then I pulled out the drain hose and found out it's about only 40cm/15".

    Pictures attached.

    So, two questions:

    1. Is that the appropriate length?
2a. If not, how long should it be and where does it go?
2b. If it is, should it connect somewhere as not to drip all over the dashboard?

    Thanks for any help!

That drain pipe should go all the way to the bottom of the body sill , then drain into the sill if nothing's blocked up there aswell. Look at the other side to see how that works...

The fittings that are on the sunroof tray are about 10mm
So fuel line or fish tank hose is too small and wouldn't flow enough water anyway

Finally found the tubing and fitted it properly.

Thanks for all the comments and help, guys!
