Really? It wasn't even the posters own vehicle so doubt I'm causing any personal offence there.

Its maybe the start of his new build.
Maybe but the priority is all wrong then.

If it were me, and this is my opinion only, I'd be doing everything I can to hide the dropped cross-eyed parking lights...
I'm not 100% sure what Toyota were thinking with this design...I'd have to choose the ARB bar...

I made the mistake of buying with my wallet before comparing the units properly side by side, the op lock units arnt bad but the wing undersides of the ARB units are thicker and mount better, plus the actual Bullbar mounts look far more solid. Another factor I guess was ARB couldn't give me an actual timeframe for delivery which actually made me look elsewhere. Was sick of my alloy genuine one

              Hey Guys

I'm a proud owner of the new 150 facelift version. I’m also new to 4x4 and looking around for a bar.

ARB - quoted me $2350 fitted with no fogies ($70 extra) for the Sahara and $400 extra for 2pak colour coded. Only issues I have are the main channel cuts 80% of the parkers (DRL's) which I don't like. It also looks like ARB has just used the same channel from the previous model which is poor form. Is this bar ADR approve for this new facelift model and is it legal to obstruct factory lights?

I looked at the TJM 3T winch bar and it looks porn. Fits to suit the new DRL shape. What issues do TJM bars have that I should know about? The cost fitted colour coded (2pak) is around $2500

I just saw the AFN bar and wow! Love it. I have never seen this bar or brand before as I’m new to all this. One question... can the bar have the hoops around the main lights removed? And what is the cost?

              Thanks

Take an angle grinder to it and sure, they are removable. The AFN bar is one piece welded, they might be able to do a one off, but I don't imagine it would be cheap or quick. I have the TJM T13, which i would assume would be similar build and fit quality as the T3. The bar fits great and looks good in my oppinion, plus comes with the fog lights and a plug and play indicator /park light loom, unlike the ARB bar, which you have to pay extra for the fogs and unless they have changed since the last one I looked at the park/indicator look is just a bit of tri-core wire to scotch lock onto the vehicle wiring loom. I would, and did, go for the TJM bar, but that's my oppinion.

Agree totally. Rang ARB to ask if they are doing an update to fit the facelift Prado, no cigar. Not paying $3K for a bar that looks crapola. I am going for the TJM T3. They quoted me $2350 fitted and colour coded, looks schmick to me.

@ Evltoy- Mate go to a few other places and get quotes showing the previous quote. They all want your business and will all knock some $ off to get the business. I did this with TJM and Iron man then went back to ARB and they knocked $900 off the original quote!

That is a very good question that I would also like to know the answer to.

At this stage it would be painted steel, but we have requested them to do a polished alloy hoop. The only issue is that this will need to be a bolt on hoop, rather than welded in.
