    Hi all,

    Just had TJM Gold suspension installed and not very impressed with the height difference in the front end the rear came up to where I liked but the front not so good in the front I went from 741mm to 777mm I have a TJM bar, dual battery, winch a total of 36mm difference what are your thoughts? the front coils are hev duty,
    I understand there is shims all rings that go in the front end but the shop that fitted the set up does not want to go any more higher in shim size to prevent bush where, he wants to put in a taller spring,

    Any feed back would be great

    PS: its a 13 pre face lift D4D,

      30mm of shim what are other people running?

        How are others that run the same setup getting 800mm out of the front?
        what size shims (spacers) are they running?

            I have 32mm of shim. T3 bar but no winch or dual battery though I do have my ARB twin head compressor behind the light. I would think you need more spring.

            Not sure what you mean a Andrew? The spacer preloads the spring.

              Sounds fairly similar to mine (my measurements posted in another thread a couple of years ago about a similar issue)

              Have heavy duty front coils (TJM steel bar, second batt, but no winch) medium coils on rear with Poly Airs.

              Sits up at the rear, drops a bit with the caravan attached.

              Fitted at TJM Carlton.

                I was questioning the installer's comments on why adding more shims will affect bush wear.

                  Sorry didn't read the first post properly. Cannot see how to be honest. Extra preload could bind the spring but that cannot affect the bush. Better with the longer spring. Try getting advice from another TJM dealer. If you were up here I would point you in Darren's (TJM Brendale) direction, very smart guy. Otherwise hopefully someone with the same setup can comment. I am probably 50+kg lighter on the front end than you are.

                    Update I had the new springs fitted today in the front end went from 741mm to 807mm very happy now
