Not sure what the difference is with the 4WD maps app, I was recently up north and this app had a bunch of remote tracks that were more detailed and better accuracy than my OziExplorer maps.

The 4wd app has a lot more maps that come with it.
Honestly now I have the Explorer app and not being overly impressed with it, I am not sure what I will ever use it for. On our last trip we used the 4wd app almost exclusively and never even looked at the explorer app.

Don't listen to him. He's old and biased I think it's great. I like using the satellite view
Old is a relative term and I always say your only as old as the woman you feel........... so Ok I'm old
You need mobile reception for the satellite view to work, if I have reception I have the maps app which cost nothing.
On reflection though I do recall turning the app on last trip when looking for a campsite, It was marked incorrectly and the roads marked on the map didn't resemble in anyway where the roads really where.
I am a big fan of Hema and have spent a small fortune on their maps over the years, but for me this app is worthless.
Its a pity you cant sell apps if you don't like them, I am sure others might find it of some use. Just another advantage of the good old paper map hey

It has just been updated to V2.0 now AJ. Loads a lot quicker and some things have changed slightly as far as I can tell. Not sure if the maps and POI are updated or not though
