    Wont need a winch so no issue there, theres always others out and about and if you get stuck someone will be along soon enough to snatch you out. Enjoy it, it really is an amazing place.

        I drove all over the island in my Subaru with not trouble, got as far north as orchid beach. The prado is over equipped for the job, just let the tyres down,

                Nope Craig, im an Imposter on these pages now mate, Im still in the Toyota fold but a little bigger. Landcruiser TTD and its very pretty and i dont think i can take it offroad .... Just kidding, the mod list has begun, new bar on order suspension tyres wheels drawers wiring radio etc etc etc jesus here we go again

                    Great trip report as usual Gumboot and great pictures and ..vids as well Craig. It was good info especially watching the crossings. I can't wait to get up there on oz day.

                      Ngkala Rocks bypass was a little different when we were there in October as you can see in the video

                                The strap didn't actually break. The only recovery point on the front truck was a hook. Once the tension came off, the strap dropped away.

                                Agree there were a lot of folks closer than they needed to be.
