    Hey redsand, I reckon June would be perfect. Been up there in April 2000 and copped cyclone Rosita in Broome and could'nt get onto the GRR as it was closed, went back in July 2002 and found it to be great weather no flies or mozzies but very busy being school hols.

    Thanks Derek for your photo's, brought back some great memories from 2002 and we saw the same thing happen on the road to Drysdale with a camper breaking off it's stub axle where it was welded to the hollow tube axle losing its wheel into the bush and the camper flipping over landing on it's roof, totalled... note to self. only get a solid axle with stub axle machined down for those sorts of trips. Also saw a car with no trailer being dragged back to Drysdale after rolling it from going too fast round a corner through one of those bulldust patches. ouch...

    Well done on catching the mackie on spin gear, must have been a blast! lucky the grey overcoat brigade were'nt there!

    Went up to Cape Leveque back in July and loved it, reminded me just how special the kimberly (Kimberly's) is (are). Middle Lagoon is a great spot and will check out the free camping and fishing along the west side around point coloumb next July when we go back. Cape Lveque is nice but a bit exy...

      I'll be doing the Kimberley commencing ,going East to West and plan on being in El Questro 3rd June.

      Actually going in to do that, back out to collect my caravan, do the Bungle Bungles, leave the van at Fitzroy Crossing and then up to Mitchell falls (and everything in between) camping for about two weeks or so.

      Then back down to collect the van, up to Derby (doing a Horizontal Falls flight) and then should be in Broome about 25th of June.

      Up to Cape Leveque and then to Karanjini

      Party will consist of a 150 Prado (mine), a 120 Prado (both Silver), a 200 Cruiser and a 100 Cruiser....I have a Pradopoint sticker on the back SO if you see me around say hi!!

      I managed to run into AJ120 last year on the CSR (well the start of it) so would love to meet a few others.

          I'll keep an eye for you mate.

          There's always a heap of Prado's where ever I go, I search for the PP stickers but haven't seen many yet

            Dueller 120 and I are both Broome locals with stickers. Beers on Cable Beach when you get here.
