I was pleasantly surprised as it makes the choice to do the job easy especially as there's no guarantee it'll fix my problem.

Took a few weeks as I only get a few hours on a Sunday but the brakes are finished. Prior to doing the rears I clamped the rear brake lines and went around the block (slowly!) and the pulsating had gone away. The guy in "Supercheap Auto" assumed that's what I was doing when I bought the brake hose clamps and chatted about my problem. I was actually only buying them to stop brake fluid leaking all over the garage floor.... Anyway, put new rotors and caliper kits on the rear brakes and it's fixed my pulsating problem. Interestingly, I borrowed a dial gauge from work and the old rotors were only just at the limit of spec around 0.1 mm runout. I'm surprised it was so noticeable.
A week later I did the same on the front with new rotors and caliper kits. A little harder with so many more pistons and those fiddly little $%&* rings for the boots. Job done. Took it for a test drive and it was still pulling to the right with a slight improvement (maybe), damn.
During all this I'd noticed the back right shockie was leaking oil. They're EFS and still under the 100,000 km warranty so I contacted APE in Wangara who put them in and he said to bring it in so they could have a look. My wife took it to them and while they had it up on the hoist she mentioned a noise she was concerned about. They discovered the front right lower ball joint was dodgy (I could never really hear anything and didn't think it was a concern). Aha, could this be it. Well, we gave them the go ahead and I took it in when the parts had arrived and they did the job including a wheel alignment (under $300 the lot, as the shockie was free, not bad).
Bloody perfect. Like a bought one. Car runs straight and true and brakes incredibly smoothly. I tried and tried to get it to pull to the right while braking hard and I'm amazed it's completely gone.
The guy at APE said there may be some slight play in the steering at a knuckle above the steering box?, haven't looked in the manual yet but for my next trick...............
