We have the four speed auto kz, would that be ok to tow a camper of say 1.5t?

I know a guy who had a Kimberly Kamper which is 1.4-1.5 tonne, he towed that everywhere with his 90 series diesel which is much the same as the 120 4 speed. I know he struggled towing that camper across the Simpson Desert, but he hid it.
When I had mine I towed a loaded car trailer that was over 2 tonne with 5 male adults in the Prado, we did 300k including some decent hills on the South Eastern Freeway heading into Adelaide, it handled that pretty easily.
So I would say yes it would handle it.

Thanks Andrew. The camper we are looking at buying is rated to 1.5 but hopefully won't weigh that much.

My campers have been upto 1100kg when fully loaded and with the old 1kz I towed that maybe 40-50,000 Kms all over the country, uphill into a 40 knot wind it struggled but otherwise it did the job without much trouble.
Cheers Andrew

Does that include the 1000 litres of water that you carry to fill the portable swimming pool that sits on top of the camper?
