Did mine this arvo while waiting for the oil to drain. Can't believe I put up with it for so long for such a simple fix. Thanks again PP members

I can just imagine all these PP'ers standing in their driveways opening and closing their fixed doors enjoying the solid "Thud"

I still smirk every time I open or close mine. Best free fix ever.

Still all good guys? I've noticed more drop since I put the table on the inside of the door. Time to give this a shot.

Just fixed my 120 using Mick's advice - PERFECT! Cost $1 for washers and about 45 mins...

Thanks Mick, terrific advice and pics.

This is on my list of things to do. From memory the Gregory's manual states that the door can be adjusted (can't remember if its the hinges or the latches)

What are benefits of this method vs adjusting the position of the hinges/latches?

All done. Easy fix and only 25 min. Possibly a bit high but much better than it was. Used the zinc plated 1/2" washers

What's wrong with just adjusting the door how its meant to be done? Loosen off the bolts that hold the hinge to the body and move it slightly. No dodgy washers required!

Because they centre themselves in the hole.

Not the ones I've had to adjust. Yes the hinge to door bolts are self centering bolts but not the hinge to body ones, and that's where you adjust it.
Unless the earlier 120s were different. Maybe Toyota changed them part way through the model. Pay to check before doing the washer thing, which although quick and easy, is a little dodgy(a shim would be better).
