Also do i have to do new diff ratio if i get 265/75/R16?

    Cheers
You will end up with about 5% increase in fuel consumption on flat road, but you will suffer off road descending steep hills as you will loose some engine braking.
Your speedo will be out more than a GXL or higher spec, due to the different speedo drive ratio, but you can replace it with one from a GXL.

265/75 16 BFGs fitted prior to getting any lift on the GXL with no scraping anywhere, but were close on the inside of the tyre on full left and right lock. I purchased a second hand BFG 265/75 16 tyre for $20 on a rim which I transfered to all 4 corners and the spare to check for clearance. if you follow this path you have to get the same tyre that you will be fitting as not all tyres are equal. For example the 265 can be measured at different points on the sidewall between different brands and even different tyres from the same manufacturer, in effect the tyre can be wider or narower depending on how far the tread goes around the sidewall.

You must also remember that the distance you travel will be further with a larger tyre so the increase in fuel consumption will be somewhat offset by a larger tyre.
As just previously stated the engine braking and acceleration will be not as good, but the advantage is lower tyre wear, more ground clearance everywhere including under the rear diff, looks heaps better with the guards filled up with tyre, and MORE CLEARANCE.
