I thought as much!
As far as failures go, it only 'failed'.
Had said socket melted, caught fire and torched the mighty prado then you would have to call the test 'fully failed'.
Doubt the anderson plug will let you down.Cheers

Looks like I'm a bit late on this topic, but I'll throw my two bobs worth in anyway.
I mounted my compressor behind the RH headlight (in front of the air cleaner) also. Its how I wired it thats a bit different. I wired it with a relay and an ON/OFF switch. On my air hose I attached a light dual core wire all the way out to the valve attachment with a push ON / push OFF switch. I can now turn on the main switch (near compressor), attach the air hose to the tire and press the push button switch. (That activates the relay to start the compressor). Wait for the tire to inflate, turn off, check pressure. Etc etc..Too easy. Don't have to worry about the compressor running while not inflating.
