Hi was wondering if anyone had a set of DIY drawer system plans to suit my 120 series prado
I'd love to try and make a set
Thank you in advance
Hi, I am just about to embark on making a set of drawers and have started to model them using Sketchup Make (previously known as Google Sketchup).
Happy to share the plans, but they are unproven until built. The approach I am going for is to have two individual drawers as I need to be able to use the rear seats from time to time. I have also put in a spot for my 2nd battery which I keep in the rear.
Hi mate,
Did you ever do the drawers in sketchup?
I am looking at the same thing and would be good to see yours for comparison.
Cheers,
Pat
I made a set for a 150 series, happy with them. Cost a few hundred dollars and lots of time. I would seriously consider paying the extra and getting a set of Titans for about $750. Having said that it was a very rewarding project so if you aren't time poor go for it and post pics.

I was thinking of getting the titan drawers but I thought I read they are a bit on the heavy side.. 80KG
Does anybody know otherwise?
Have not worked out what the timber weights would be for 15mm ply yet but would guess around 10kg/m2.
So all up probably around a 50kg build.

Hi Nigel,
Would love to see the plans when you are done.
I have made an initial set but will need to change to a 2 individual system like you as I will need to be using the jump seats soon enough. Would rather have one setup as long as they are able to work together solidly for the touring kms
I like the way that uses existing factory anchor points.
Wish I was handy with a welder too
I'm after a single drawer that is short enough to fit behind the cargo barrier and fit my backup battery.
I need to leave some room in the back for the dog.
80kg's for a drawer from Titan sounds crazy.
Honestly learning to weld for stuff like this is easy. Better still go to your local TAFE and do a course. With the price of 240V 10A inverter welder a these days it is easy to get into and won't break the bank.

with ARB Catalog, with TJM add ons!
My advice go buy them from a manufacturer. So much easier. And around the same cost in the end.
