I think the looks come down to personal preference - to me the ARB looks all wrong from the front and the AFN looks cool. Each to his own - they are both good products so you won't go wrong either way.

    • Has anyone fitted the MCC Steel bar with fog lights. Their website only has pics of the pre-facelift model.

      • A mate went to pick up his new Prado today, his new TJM Outback bar for the 150 2.8 came pre drilled with parking sensor holes and looks absolutely terrible. And there no caps for them either. Its a shame the bulbar already had a scratch on it and was not fitted very well at all.(an Inch to the left...) Apparently they all come like that now. If you are going the tjm outback bullbar check for the holes as none of their pictures on the website show them.

1st go at posting pictures so hopefully you can see them:
Did you have any luck getting a better fit with your bar? I would like to go AFN bar but would not be happy with that fit. If they want the bar to be integrated it needs to match to panels perfectly IMO.

When i fitted mine it sat about 15MM to the left but there was enough adjustment in the slotted holes to correct it.
Maybe it only needs to be adjusted.

Except for the crappy install... The parking sensor holes is an easy fix.... Happened to me also.
I now have front parking sensors which I installed on a saturday and cost me $23 on fleabay... (im happy to share what I bought - need a specific size sensor)
Works like a charms when parking in the city... Just make sure you get one which allows you to switch off the buzzer mode.
And if you cannot be bothered to have the full sensor, buy the kit and just pop in the sensors (cut off the wires if you wish)

              • I still am a firm believer that the TJM bar looks far better on the MY14+Facelift than the ARB one (who could not be bothered to update their design for such an expensive bar)
The sensor holes really makes no difference in tjm bar - easiest fix ever.

Yeah it does, I have one on my truck with no sensor holes and it looks way better.

Oh, I'm not too sure about that. I love my ARB bar. But I like the Airtec snorkel too. Each to their own I guess.

Hi Brad, the guys who did the instal made a stirling effort to get it very well matched to the panels. It does now fit evenly and looks awesome with the color match, ARB UVP and the Fyrlyts but if you look from the rear you can still see it does not match the profile of the wing below the light but as its the same on both sides it doesn't really matter. If I was being fussy I could complain about the spot welding on the two uprights but all in all I am very happy with it.
I don't have any photo's to show you and I am away for 6 weeks with work. I will ask the wife to send me a few and I will try to upload them.
                      Cheers

                        • Anybody with an ARB bar on a post 14 model, in the fitting instructions they talk about cutting the centre 3 vertical rows of the bottom of the grille off, does this need to be done to fit the bar ? Can't see how that could be done neatly..

                          Comment

                          • Fitted my bar today, can't see any reason to cut the grille, so left it as is. Fiddly job getting the bar level on both sides but overall a reasonably straight forward job. Cutting the original bumper off with a jig saw was fun !

                              • What sort of prices are people paying for TJM outback bar and ARB deluxe bars in Sydney? [both in black] I appear to be getting quoted around $2550 for the TJM [ $300 less in current sale] and $2250 for the ARB, both fitted. Snorkels are about $740 for Safari and TJM [ less $75 in current sale]. these prices appear to be at or very close to RRP s
