This will be my final shakedown run before Cape York in June.

Going to Cityview 4WD Park, just out from Beaudesert.

Meet outside Caltex South, 2 Telemon Street, Beaudesert.

Meet there at 8.00am Sunday 4th May and head straight to Cityview for the whole day.

We will have our 18 month old daughter with us, will be a kid friendly day with stops when needed.

We will take some more adventurous tracks while trying not to do any damage.

We will be on Channel 16.

The more the merrier.

Might be interested, have two girls 2 and 4 and stock 150 so usually avoid long trips because of the back seat complaints.

Guys with all the rain we have had today I think it may be quite slippery out there.

I will call tomorrow to get a report on tracks conditions.

I for one, don't want to damage my Prado if the tracks are in a bad way. Especially so close to the Cape trip

Hi Dan,

The Beaudesert region copped quite a bit of rain today. I have been there before and yes the tracks are very sliippery. I think we should give it a miss this time and schedule another time mate. I am sure we will have more takers as well.

Providing its a dry day tomorrow I would think that Sundays trip would be OK. Most of the tracks are exposed to daylight ( as opposed to being sheltered by rainforest canopy). Hope your day isn't spoilt by the weather and Steve at the park gives you a favourable reply..

Well... awesome news!!

Just spoke to Steve at Cityview, they had just one hour of rain yesterday and thats it.

Steve says most of that should dry up by lunchtime today

So we are full steam ahead, see those coming at Caltex Beaudesert at 8am.
