I had a big day with a mate and myself swearing and cursing for five hours fitting a Tuff Dog two inch lift kit in the Prado. If you are going to do this your self id recommend getting the pre-assembled front struts. I bought a kit with new top bearing plates and fitted them myself and it was a bitch. Since i have a bar, winch and dual battery up the front it was sagging badly so i went with the heavy duty front springs. These things are killer to try and compress even with four spring compressor tools one the one spring. Any way she is all done now and i really need a Corona right now.
Before lift and dual battery in the front.
With lift kit fitted.
And CV angle.
Cant wait to hit some tracks tomorrow.Mint 1999 GXL Prado - Work in progress

Billet Race Craft diff breathers are now in. :-? Was very easy other than getting to the front diff.
Dual USB socket in the center console to charge the kids ipods on the fly. Put this where the ashtray once was.
Narva 225 blue spot and spread beam spotties.
All most finished, i think.Mint 1999 GXL Prado - Work in progress

I'm a happy boy!!!
I finally finally found the lower ball joints i wanted for my 95 Series. Geez i get excited over little things, but this is great news for me & every other 95 Series owner!
Mine have had play in them for "ahem", over a year........ I know, i know, i should have replaced them sooner but i didn't want to fork the $330.00+ea from Toyota.
I have been searching for an Aus supplier for 555 Ball Joints for 12 Months & finally one of my suppliers has bought some in after seeing repeated failures of the other aftermarket gear available.
These are 100% without peer as an aftermarket replacement. They are the O.E supplier to Toyota & 555 make a heap of O.E gear for a lot of Manufacturers
Their quality is brilliant in all of their parts.
The other cheap and nasties for sale on eBay are nearly all only useful as a paperweight long term.
All the others available from 99.9% of other suppliers will be lucky to last 18mths to 2 years before getting play in them too.
They are 3 times the price of the eBay crap, but half the price of O.E parts.
Now i just need to fit them :-)
Regards, Jason.

Nice find Jason! I learnt the hard way to stay away from cheap replacements. If these are OE suppliers they must be good. Would you like some free testing performed?glen_ep - engineered, 4" lift, 33" 255/85R16, lockers, 4.88 ratios www.pradopoint.com.au/showthread.php?17237 www.youtube.com/user/glenep www.fb.com/groups/ToyotaPrado90

Good stuff mate! Did you have to make your own bar and mount for the 50" light bar to be fixed to? I Want to do the same, but can't find any mounting options.96 GXL Prado 3.4L with 50mm HD front coils and MD rear coils with poly airbags, Bilstein shocks, 265/75R16 Federal couragia MT's, black sunnies, GME TX4600 UHF, ZCG 6.6db antenna, Narva 175 driving lights, 20" and 38" LED light bars, roof rack, Safari snorkel, ARB bar, Redback extractors and a custom 2 1/2" exhaust.
