    • Was running a bit rough at times on the weekend and also very gutless intermittently so pulled the maf sensor and gave it a clean. What a difference that made! Also checked the air filter and need to replace it sooner than later.
1997 petrol auto, 430 000km. Still going strong.
2004 petrol auto, 233 000km. Cracked dash and no help from Toyota!

Excuse my ignorance on this one but what/where is the map filter.

They look great for the price, it's almost dark outside to give them a test run.

                      • Come back from Bathurst 1000 some weeks ago so time for a service.

Engine oil, filter, fuel filler between tanks and under bonnet (Racor), air filter, replace diff and transfer oils, grease tail shafts, rotate tyres and fit new under body plate.

Do all the usual checks, fill out the service manual, give her a bath and make a cup of coffee. Yep Prado likes coffee too.

                            • My engine went pop at 166,000 km for all of the reasons discussed on other threads. It had a new engine installed at that time and the oil dropped at 167,000 km, oil pick up checked and injector values monitored.

I have recently completed a trip to western Queensland and was not able to get a 5000 km service whilst travelling. Therefore had the real service done today - 175,000 km and all was well - oil pick up clean and injector values -0.9; -0.6; 0.5; 0.1 Vol 5.2. Also had an EGR blanking plate (with 7mm hole) installed.

I and my garage are now hyper vigilant.
