Spent half the weekend rewiring all my accessories into a fuse block, and moved the relays for the lights to under the glove box as room in the engine bay is at a premium.
Also wired in a isolator for the Anderson plug at the rear so I can turn it off when not towing.
After doing all that and then put it back together and the bloody fuse block has a short in it. One fuse keeps arcing out and the two behind it don't work 😡
Needless to say, I feel like murder....

Beening working on the storage setup in the back. False floor fitted (17mm form ply) and bolted down with M6 bolts into the original tie down bolt holes. Waeco fridge slide bolted into place using T-nuts and M6 bolts. AGM 100Ah battery installed at rear of slide and wired via PowerTech isolator. Storage unit built from 12mm ply and covered with marine carpet over the weekend (leaving it out for the glue to dry). Two drawers to be built and fitted yet leaving the bottom section free for a couple of water jerries.

Replaced the old 7 pin round socket with a 7 pin flat socket so I can tow the new box trailer I purchased.

Gave it a wash, cleaned the inside as well, booked it in for a service on Thursday and booked in for a new windscreen Friday. Also finished off the latest mod.

Anyone would think I was getting ready for another trip

I tried to sell the Pioneer spotty brackets and my old lights but no one is buying. So I decided to use one of the brackets to hold my camera on the roof instead 👍
Will see how it goes on the weekend.

Rotated the tires and discovered that they are a bit heavier than those I had on there before.
Also discovered that I had managed to scratch all the alloys that were fitted. I dare say the ex-spare will get the scratches with the next trip out.

Vacuumed the fire extinguisher powder from the rear footwell after the missus somehow managed to snag the safety pin on her way into the car then kick the trigger on her way out. Luckily the Sandgrabber mat copped most of it. Might look for a CO2 replacement instead.

Cleaned it after towing our van to canberra and surrounds over the last 10 days. 2T+ tandem van, original clutch with 210,000k's and all went great for the whole 3800k journey. Proud of the little beasty :-)

Sat on or just over limit and averaged 14.5 - 15.6 ltrs / 100 so can't complain with that especially since we did the back roads with plenty of hills for most of the trip.

Removed my TJM bash plate as I wanted to have a closer look at a minor oil leak in the V6. I noticed the four holes in the bottom of the front cross member were plugged with dirt. Half an hour later I had removed over half a kilogram of sand and dirt which had been trapped in there by the bash plate. After my next beach run I will be loosening the bash plate when I do the under body wash to allow the sand to drain.

My misses bought me an early Xmas present. A set of ARB bash plates. When I say she bought them I actually bought them on the joint MasterCard. And when I said she gave then to me, I went to ARB and picked them and told her she gave me them for Xmas. I really love my wife

So Spent 2 hrs fitting them up in the drive. Cursing the entire time and thinking why I didn't spend the $100 to get them fitted. But the level of satisfaction is much higher.

Thanks to WOZCLEAN I applied a couple of very important additions to the rig today. Now it's only a matter of time before Geoff spots me around the northern suburbs of Perth!
