    • Amayama parts:
5373460050, 5373360040, 5373260060 and 5373160070. 2 plates for each side. Panel beater reckons it would be easier to tack weld them rather than use the 52 odd nuts and bolts. These parts are listed for the US version hence don't appear on Australian Toyota parts systems. About $145 plus shipping.

          • Thinking I should get them just for peace of mind, even though I don't have anything in my engine bay that could cause cracks

These LED lights originated from here http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post363966
I have now made mine IP67 rated up to 1m and tested for over 3 hours. Are the ebay ones rated, as I can't see the rating.

I asked "are these IP67 rated?"

                  They responded

It's not what is in your engine bay - it's the continuous pounding that causes flexing of the panels when driven off road for extended periods like some of us do. If you're only and occasional off-roader and reduce your tyre pressure and speed you may never see these cracks. On my last outing I pointed out the cracks in my mats 2011 Prado only to discover my own. It's taken over 6 years to arrive though.

Guess it just depends on what kind of life the car has had.

                      • Should have done a rig build up. Anyway trolleyed some more money at the 'ole girl'. Using my existing Milford cargo barrier and my 'lifestyle rack' http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...lifestyle+rack.

Got some Custom rear drawers made. The rack guy also sells legs for his product so to carry some of the extra weight I bought four.

Great thing is it comes off real easy and I can just use the rack again by taking the fridge out, single drawer, undoing the x4 (x2 front, x2 rear) turnbuckles then lifting the system out.
Compressor and hose have stayed underneath. Hose in the white basket, comp further back. Yet to try it out but utilizes space top and bottom. Eventually if needed (big trips??) I'll get some H.D plastic boxes for the shelf above drawer and void underneath. The shelf screws out so I could put my 40 litre chill box there if required (with the single drawer out).

X2 water jerries can be strapped to either side using tie down points. I use drinking hose and a cut garden sprayer.

Fridge is 45litre and slides out, it is highish, fine for me, I'll get some plastic steps for my partner. Table can be used 3/4of the way out or stand alone independent.

Just wanted to use what I already had....thanks.

                        • Replaced the cabin filter which was absolutely full of Meekatharra Red (dust). Surprised it actually still let air through.

                          • Said "oh crap" (or words to that effect) when presented with the bill for tie rod ends, rack ends, water pump, power steering pump, radiator and associated bits that were discovered damaged in the search for what caused the girl to have a trip on a tray back

                              • Fitted up a set of TJM airbag compatible side steps today. Easy fit although the fuel lines needed a bit of manipulating to get them away from the front top step mounting bolt. Covered one of the lines with two layers of convoluted tubing just in case there is any movement by the steps in the future. In time I will make a bracket that will remount the pipes another 10mm further down.

I gained 85 mm from the ground to the step compared to the original steps. Also added a few KG's as the genuine are alloy and plastic and can be held up by my pinky finger. Also notice its just a little harder to get in the cab but that's a small price to pay for the benefits.

Sorry images are little dark as I just took them.
