I buy it in 20's for workshop.

    Looks good mate!

So do you work in a workshop? Whereabouts? I might consider working with you if you're close by. I'm just completing my cert 2 in automotive so I could be looking for work places to be at. Thanks

if you want to organise a day or night with your oil etc , i could put it up on the hoist give you a hand to get it out

      • Replaced the front drivers side wheel bearing.
But did it too late as it had already broke the ABS sensor. Bugga.

Now looking for a picture of what the sensor actually senses. The shaft through the bearing has marks around it where the sensor and assorted bearing shrapnel have been machining their own grooves. Might be up for a shaft too. Double bugga.
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

          • I used the winch to lift a slasher so we could put it on a trailer (tractor was dead)

sure was better than lifting the thing by hand.

Got to say I'm pretty impressed with this Runva winch so far

              • Left my Prado in to smash repairers. Got rear-ended by a Commodore who substantially damaged his bonnet and bumper. He scratched the paint on my rear bumper.

                Cheers Jim.

                • What did you do to your 120 today?

I've had the Optima D27 sitting on my recently acquired Repco battery charger for the past week to recover it from a woopsy. ( left a map light on for 7 weeks whilst being away and found it sitting at 5. something volts. It seems to be recovered and have put it back in the Prado last night and is again starting strongly. I will take it for a run up to Bribie tomorrow with the Fridge and all in sundry connected up to check its performance.

It happened on the way home from the show. Was debating whether to go to the hassle of leaving it in as it was just a scratch and the bumper has a few battle scars already round the side. I was more worried when he hit my tow receiver that there wasn't any unseen damage underneath but all good.

                      Cheers Jim.

                      • If you're getting a new bar, good time to swap to a HR towbar. You tow a camper and can't rely on the existing hitch now it has been hit

                        • Can you request the towbar be tested for any unseen fracture to it ??? I'm sure this would be a genuine safety reason, then put the $$$ towards a hayman Reese ... Cheers Steve

                          • Not today but yesterday.
Spent a few hours pulling out my main fuel tank to clean it out, suspected I may have some crap in there after one of my injectors is cactus after only 60000km. Found nothing really apart from a film of black soot like stuff. Algae perhaps? Or maybe normal?
Fairly easy job when you've got access to a hoist.
                            Can't we just keep travelling?

Yes I requested it Steve and they said it was ok but I'm sure it was just a visual. You know what insurance companies are like. But what can you do. It was a low speed impact, about 5kph

                                cheers Jim.
