had a day to play (sat)
fitted the 6L air tank to the rear of the Prado & ran 80% of the hoses for the endless air system, just need a few more fitting & a high temp hose made off the compressor
had to make an adjustment to the sliders that came on the car, took a small pie slice out & re-welded to stop them touching the body
welded up part of the duel rear wheel carrier & fitted it on, just need to do the recesses add some tail lights, then trim the sides off the rear plastic bar2008 Dune D4D manual GXL update - with lots of fruit !! + Roma Razorback Off Road Van

here is the compressor mounted
here is the tank i got with it and the tank i brought to replace it as it wouldn't fit with my towbar
here is the tank mounted the the rear tank straps
i have run the line from the tank to the front up the Nav side to a manifold with pressure switch & tee to keep it away from the exhaust & turbo, then will run a "hot" line across the rear of the engine bay to the compressor through a one way valve, from the manifold i will run a line to the front bar for the one touch coupler
the tank only has 3 outlets, so i have to run a Tee to fit a blow off valve and then run the line to the rear bar with a one touch coupler
not sure why the mounted pic rotated
also had to cut the brackets supplied to mount it closer to the tank to clear the towbar2008 Dune D4D manual GXL update - with lots of fruit !! + Roma Razorback Off Road Van

Spent an hour or so under the 120 yesterday washing all the Bribie sand from under it after last weekend, giving it all a thorough flushing. Flooded all the chassis rails etc...and whilst under there I removed the 2nd fuel tank guard which was been punched in the face a few times and was pushing up against the tank. Nothing a big sledgie and a can of paint to make it look pretty again wouldn't fix!2004 V6 Grande. BLACK -

Hey Craig is it easy to take the bash plate off the second tank? Mine got a big dent in it the other week and it needs some love with a hammer too.
Only problem I think I'll have is ill have to remove the long ranger water tank first

anyone used that liqui moly engine flush before a service? i just gave my trusty 120 an oil change and ran a bottle through it, just waiting for the oil to drain now so i can check the oil pickup.
Edit:
looks pretty good to me
not the best photo, but sadly the camera wont fit in the sump plug hole

Well after last week's GTG 2015 Reccie, I caught a "small" rock that caused a puncture:
My bad luck. But my spare was, well not that flash.
Sooo....a small day trip to see Palmer120 - and I now have 5 "new" rims and tyres. Still steelies, but in much better nick than mine were.
I was able to drop off my old rims and tyres - as they were already sold!
I don't think I'll ever consciously every put on Faulken A/T tyres again!'04 120 Petrol Flinders Red GXL

Halfway along the track as well, didn't want to risk another puncture and continue so I made a 20k detour down a side track to the nearest graded road, turned out to be a nightmare, car's now sporting some fantastic looking pin striping on almost every panel.
