Installed a new hawse as the RUNVA one is rubbish all the fake chrome is peeling off - only on the car for 6 months and winch never used.

isnt oru a cheap ebay brand?

How long did they last you craig?

had mine of for about a year and noticed a lack is performance recently. Thought they lasted longer than that!

I'll have to look back at old posts rorza, but I'm guess'n around 3 years... ( I do live in the Sunshine state but....)

My first lot lasted 2-3 years, of late I've been getting 12 months before they start to streak

Most likely a different compound in the blade in the more recent stock. I probably had the older ones compared to the "new improved" version. Have to wait and see how long this set lasts...

Our V6 120 Prado is just about to hit 200,000k and the radiator has had a slight weep near one of the end tanks for at least the last year since we bought it. I replaced the radiator with another denso unit, fitted a new genuine water pump & thermostat, new serpentine belt, new pulleys and new hoses. The reverse thread on the tensioner pulley bolt almost screwed me, but google saved the day! We saved heaps of coin with me doing it all myself and this should equate to it being good and reliable for the next 4 or 5 years that we plan to own it. I'm loving this 4.0L V6 the more I work on it.

fitted new front wheel bearings, ( not happy as only has 80,000km on the clock, but i don't know what water work it had done before 65,000km )
very little grease left in there

bit of a task to do if you re-use your hubs

also fitted my 3" berkley stainless exhaust

Oil/filter change, 5 tyre rotation, TJM sidesteps installed and upgraded the front grille. Pretty good day really.

Fitted a set of "3D" floor mats after a quick vaccum.
They look to be knock off sandgrabba mats I got off ebay for a smidge of the price - quite impressed with them actually!

Lets see how they last.....

Haven't seen the 3D's in the flesh, but I've heard a couple of people who've had both prefer them to the SG's...

fitted the 12000lb runva winch, made a bracket to hide the box under the bonnet
i ended up cutting the ARB bar so i could use the standard howse and i tack welded nuts on the bottom for the very front skid pan/radiator cover

lifted the bar off on my own, but needed the engine crane to fit it back on ( tried to lift but felt my left one rising and then started to remember how old i am getting

just need to wire it up to the battery and fit a cable to get the hand piece inside ( has an existing plug in the dash already )

thanks Troy yes was touch & go convincing her it needed help getting back in place
especially after getting caught with something she knew nothing about

always work smarter not harder except when there is a chance of getting caught out by the other half
that's when you rush and take short cuts
