Hi All,
After we all hear stories about poor service by 4WD suppliers, i had to do a write-up of the fantastic service that i received from the team at Opposite Lock in Springwood (South Brisbane). Before i do, i have no affiliation with, or did i receive any financial benefit by telling my story.
About 3 weeks ago, after deciding on an Opposite Lock Bar, i ordered a Kakadu specific steel post bar, for the fitted price of $1899. Due to my work travel schedule, i wasn't able to have it fitted until last Monday. I had a call from the guys last Friday, telling me that they had just been advised by their import agent that thanks to freight delays the bar wasn't arriving in-country for another 2 weeks. As we were going out West, we needed the Bar to safe guard from the Roos and to fit the winch, lights and UHF antenna.
Steve at Opp Lock Springwood called me back after 10 mins and he had spoken to the Owner (Tony) and relayed my problem. They offered me a non Kakadu Loop steel bar(no sensor holes), which they would fit and using a design template would drill holes exactly the same as the Kakadu bar. They would also let me use the bar until i returned from holidays and then come back in, remove this bar and fit my original bar, for absolutely no extra cost than the original fitted price!!
So i rocked up for the bar fitting on Monday and was invited down to the workshop to meet the fitters (Jai, Steve and Gavin) and discuss the fitment and if i had any questions. The guys spent the next 4 hours crafting the bar onto the Kak. Their attention to detail and workmanship, was first rate and echos the service provided by the sales guys. So bottom line is, as a result of their willingness to provide solution based real customer service and not just selling 4WD bits, i will definitely be purchasing more gear for the Kak from them and i cant recommend these guys enough. Just ask for Darryl or Steve.
cheers
Geoff
