And the most common leather colour is probably black. .Some things just aren't suited to the Aussie climate. But some of the canvas seat covers more suited to off-roading can be bum burners too.

First thing i did with by black leather seats was cover them with black sheep skin covers. Nice and comfy hot or cold.

Are the leather seats in the Altitude electrically adjustable with lumbar support?

In my 2013 altitude the so called leather seats only have electronic lumbar support.. Everything else is manual. Which for a 65k+ car is pathetic. It shits me swapping seat positions every time I drive it ( wife also drives it)

Yeah, my wife and I both have stuffed backitis and she doesn't want to spend long days in the car, that's why she's not coming to the GTG.

Have to agree, the leather, although it smells great, doesn't sit well with the use it will get. Still undecided after looking again today, Love the finish, the sunroof, Satnav etc, and under 40,000 alms, and an ARB bar.... Either way it will be hard parting with what I have now, It will take years to build it up again.
Trade in prices on well equipped vehicles are rubbish, so I am going to try privately for a while first.

Friend of the family got a 150 GXL and had leather done aftermarket for a fraction of the cost, if that's important

The Altitude gets leather accent seats, moonroof, sat nav and bigger screen, privacy glass in the back, optitron meters, front parking sensors and an altitude badge. You have to decide if these are worth getting a second hand 150 over a new one without these bits.

As I understand it the 2014 models have upgraded inner guards, which are hopefully less likely to crack. For that reason alone I would go for the new one, unless of course you don't intend taking the Prado over corrugated tracks

IIRC though even some of the newly facelifted models still had the old guard design. There was some discussion on it here somewhere.

You forgot the upgraded 14 speaker sound system where as a GXL has 6 speaker as standard.

JUst noticed no-one had replied on this question Braddo. The Optitron meter just has a larger LCD section that displays more info than the non-optitron type. The Optitron meter equipped models also have more of the warning lights contained within the analogue gauges (speedo and tacho) themselves whereas the non-optitron equipped models have most of them above the center display between the speedo and tacho.

I believe the GXL and below have the non-Optitron type and the VX and Kakadu have the Optitron type. At least that's the way it is in the 150s I have seen.

That correct Fido the Altitudes have the same spec displays as the VX and Kakadu.
