TJM Brush/Side Bars with ARB steel bar?

Hi,

I bought 120 with non-winch ARB steel bar. One day I would like to put in a winch, and thus new bar, however until that happens (god knows when), I would like to get brush bars and side steps. Unfortunately ARB does not do side bars for 120, but TJM does.
I have called TJM if these would fit, I had bit of hesitance from the sales person, and then he came back with yes they will, so I have my doubts. Has anybody fitted TJM side bars together with ARB steel bar? What other options are there (besides custom made) for side bars for 120?

I have contacted TJM via their portal, and they came back to me saying that the bars will not fit :-{

AJ120 does side steps/sliders and at one time brush bars for ARB bullbars.

you need to get a bit added on from the straight bit just after the step 50 mm to bring the scrub bars in the middle of the arb bar.

how did you go fitting your TJM side steps/ brush bars to your your ARB bullbar, fitting ours in the next couple of weeks, would appreciate any advice or tips.

Hey Guys,

I have just ordered the TJM side steps with brush bars. I know of someone who has fitted them to the 120 series with ARB bar. I have asked for Hilux brush bars and the 120 series side steps. There will be a little modification due to TJM being 51mm tube and the ARB bar being 49mm. TJM in Fyshwick Canberra are aware of the parts needed. Good deal on at the moment with free brush bars. Official line from TJM was "No they won't fit" but ........
Below are his fitting instructions

Fitting to ARB bull bar
They will require the use of the Hilux t-piece to mount to the ARB bar as the TJM Prado bar side post have a significant lean backwards (almost 45 degree from the vertical). Not sure which year Hilux but essentially the attachment needs to be a t-piece. Plus the outer hoops on the Hilux TJM bar are a similar diameter to the ARB bar.
NOTE: The brush bars are (I think) 51mm. The ARB bar outer hoops are 49mm. At any rate it means a bit of gentle bending of the t-piece to close the vertical part to match the ARB hoops. This ensures they grip the vertical loops of the ARB bar.
