  • Very interesting - had lunch today with a bunch of 'old lags' former CAA/CASA pilots, engineers and safety experts. Of couse MH370 was discussed and I think we all came to the conclusion that 1. it is in the southern ocean but 2. no one knows where.

Missing jet not in search zone: ATSB

Does anyone have any true idea of what really happened. No communications, no signals, no trace, no sightings, no wreckage.

I guess, when you have removed probable and exhausted the possible, what ever remains, however improbably, just might be the truth.

    • I agree it's definitely strange. If I didn't know better I'd be inclined to believe toyota'a service department was behind it all.....

Yeah problem was it was supposed to be found last year. THEY weren't expecting it to take so long

              • One look at the barnacles says it's been in the water for a long time. Didn't they find a life-boat suspected of being from HMAS Sydney on some remote beach out that way a couple of years ago?

                • Yep "they" sat it in water ever since the crash, - just to make it look genuine.

                  • Easy enough for THEM to procure a Boeing 777 flaperon from one of the aircraft graveyards and fake its discovery. Thus diverting attention from its true resting place on Diego Garcia.

                    http://www.thenational.ae/business/a...boeing-777-200

"So far, in 2014 and 2015 we have phased out three B777-200s and eight A340-500s on schedule, which is no mean feat in itself. For the year 2015-16, we’re planning a total of 10 phase-outs,” said Philip Audsley, the manager of aircraft assets at Emirates. When it comes to aircraft retirement, Emirates either returns the aircraft to its lessor, sells it, or sends it to an aircraft graveyard, where the planes get dismantled."

“Older aircraft aren’t easy to sell,” he said. “Even in this low fuel price environment. Sometimes the sum of their parts is greater, so that’s why they are retired and then stripped.”

                    • And it looks like THEY chose the right place to put the wreckage... near an active volcano that's about to explode. Prevents too much detailed searching.

"An emergency evacuation is under way on the south-eastern side of La Reunion island, where the World Heritage-listed volcano, Le Piton de la Fournaise has recorded unusual seismic activity. Scientists at island’s volcanic observatory, the OVPF, warned an eruption was “imminent and probable”.

I reckon it's been shot down by some wayward north Korean fighter jet. Not the first civvy airliner to be shot out of the sky.
My view too Dave only my moneys on the yanks they have a top secret base (diego garcia please google it and see for yourself) quite near where MH 370 went missing and they have done this before to a Iranian passenger jet with some 200 souls on board..................

Correct. Certainly not for all of the passengers and crew aboard.

                              • It's no longer a mystery.

Didn't you see they found a section of the wing 'flaperon' and identified it categorically; and identified the currents that drifted it to Reunion Island could only place the wreckage in the Indian Ocean where the long winded hunt for the plane continues (for now)

We know when and roughly where the plane went down.
