Counting down the days, cannot wait to roll out. The beast is packed ready to rock and roll. It is going to be our first family holiday sleeping in tents (at a holiday resort). I went way over my $4k budget, ahh well... that's the beauty about owning a vehicle like the Prado, buy! buy! buy!

Unfortunately we are staying at a hotel first. I can't wait to see what the RV5 looks like deployed next to the beast.

This afternoon I've seen a Prado with two inch lift fitted with BFG (AT) 285/70/17, the size of the tyres suits the Prado. I cannot wait to replace my standard dunnies. The tyre must be too big for the wheel cover.

I guess that would be a 33" tyre. Massive

This is our first family holiday staying in a tent... loving the set up, already have my 2015 wishlist worked out. It takes approximately 10-15 mins to fully set up the RV5... Click image for larger version

How good are the Oz Tents!! I have an RV4 and it's amazing! Did a month long camping trip out to Ularu and heaps of other places using it every night! Best tent ever!!

Bloody awesome... money well spent, a bit expensive ($1900) but you pay for the quality. I will deploy an RV5 tagalong next holiday season.

My old man's got the exact same setup as yours, but with different black rims and he went the 285/70 tyres in Coopers. Black looks great until those first fat scratches right down the side, but I tell him at least it shows he uses it!

I used black texta to cover the scratches on the black rims of my dirt bike, works pretty well.

My new set of tyres will be a set of BfG KM2 285/70/17, I have to wait until I wear out the standard Dunnys. I haven't really used the beast except camping at camp sites and driving long distance, I'm not too fuzz about getting it scratched. When I was looking around for a good looking set of rims I wanted to get a set of Pro Comp 7069 but I was informed that I can't get it here in Oz , and the MT Classic III (black) had a 6-8 weeks wait so I went for a set of Kings rims.

I wanted to changed my tyres so I decided to price out a set of KM2 and I just found out from JAXQuickfit that the largest legal tyre size here in QLD that I can have on for my vehicle is a 275/70, and the only MT tyre that's available for that size is the Maxxis Bighorn. I can't break the law and illegally have the 285/70 BfG KM2... I might sleep on it and wait until I need my tyres replaced.
