If you would all remember there was a lot of Flaming/ Trolling and defamation going on, hence the threads removal from the visible section of the board.
Given that Robert/Chipit or what ever he was/is and now is no longer a paid retailer and that most of the factual threads that revealed his true nature have been removed and i am personally very aware and very conscious of what i have written from a legal point of view when challenging his theory's the same as he was with his!

Without going into a tail-chasing debate which is now clearly a closed topic for which i do truly respect and will abide by!....

What is irritating for me is that given that he is now clearly not affiliated with this forum as a paid member is the fact that a thread that i put "ALLOT" of research/time (Same as other members of this forum) into concerning how the EGR/Turbo/fuel system very are closely related and how when emissions/ engine mechanics are tampered with how it violates warranties and road legality's for which he did not/was not able to debunk but still managed to saturate that thread with links directly to his web sight promoting his products/ His logo/ his business??

That thread "Blocking EGR" gets an average of 100 hits a week via Google (Last post was 16-09-2013 and back then had 23,489 hits!... It now has to date 61,760 hits) and i assume that traffic going to that thread is going to his website via that thread!... Not bad for a none paying member for traffic flow don't you think!

Would it be fair to say that his logo and hyper links should be removed????

Didn't want to discuss via PM as i think this particular one should be aired for closure!

    Cheers

I have been in contact with chip tuning regarding chip it and their response was:

"Chip It and Chip Tuning are two very separate companies. What is going on =
over there is not affecting us.

Their website says they are honouring the warranties but not sure how that =
      affects you directly.

People that purchased from Chip Tuning have the full warranty."

This should be taken to PM with admins for discussion, it is solely their choice.

As we have seen in the past airing this type of thing creates flame wars and attacks. And we know how they all end..

After lots of issues with my Chip-It I have been running with the jumper and not Chip, (ie back to factory) and problems magically have gone away.
I have now removed even the harness and re-boxed every thing.

If anyone wants to try one, They can have mine very cheap :-)
              Pgm is lvl 5 for a 120 D4D (2007)

But let me just say this, when first installed the power was great, but the longer it ran the more problems, grey smoke, excessive knocking untill very warm, high fuel consumption... (and I am not a very big lead foot.)

Does this mean that those who was running a chip when engine failed will come forward and share?

I found three still on the forum!... Check history!

very sad to see - i drove past the chip it shop front in clarkson on the way home this evening and it has been cleared out. no winners here, someone has lost their business, employees have lost jobs and customers are left with uncertainty.

I do have to actually agree with you fully here (Lessons learned all round) and given next time without going into detail (is now not of relevance & can not be changed as is now the past) but i do believe they will be better organised and stronger next time around! (I mean that sincerely and i am not being condescending).

I actually truly wish them good luck in there future adventures & truly wish them success for there future.

                      Cheers.

They would have the right to lodge a claim in the liquidation under the warranty. It basically goes down hill from there.

That's just standard procedure and worth "zip" in the real world!

Of course it does as you can not draw on something from nothing that no longer exists legally?

Two sayings spring to mind here!

"You can take the lion from the jungle but you can not take the jungle from the lion!"

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb deciding what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed lamb"

Lets assume the lamb now has knowledge!

Oh, bit harsh. I apologise up front because I would like to keep a degree of anonymity but We regularly return dividend to creditors. In fact we have a few where 100 cents in the dollar has been paid.

The reality of a dividend is usually directly related to the reality (in the directors mind at least) of the companies position. No one can get blood out of a stone true, but just because the company is in liquidation does not mean thats the end of it, a nasty surprise to a lot of directors that are forced to the negotiation table and even creditors that were preferenced over others.

Without sending every reader into a coma, there are assets or sources of funds from things other than tangible assets sold at auction such as voidable transactions, insolvent trading claims, unfair preference transactions, transfers to defeat creditors, undervalue transactions, breach of duty claims, equitable claims in assets held by third parties etc. All survive and in fact only activate once insolvency is called to question.

MLC knows exactly what he's on about with this subject (maybe not for all the others though!).

That said, the (admittedly few) examples i'm aware of seem to return less than 10c in the dollar though that may come down to the individual appointed practitioner...

p.s MLC - love your Akhmed picture, those videos are great. I keeeeeeel you!

Having been at the blunt end of the liquidators many times in my various businesses, Trying to get paid what we were entitled to is harder than it seems. But can have wins sometimes.
I can safely say MLC is on the money.

And also probably the most knowledgeable member on the whole forum in regards to any liquidation/receivership.
