Bolted on my new Fyrlyt Nemesis 9000 lights. Not wired up yet, need to grab a couple of 40A relays tomorrow.


Also, now need to find room to mount the 2 DC-DC converters that these lights require (12V - 24V). They're not small !

Attempted to clean the EGR and got stuck on the two bolts at the bottom of the elbow. Couldn't get it off so gave up and put it all back together

The "normal" ones are bright enough, these 250W jobs should be insane.

Make sure you use big wiring, they draw 20 amps each, very easy to get significant voltage drop with too small wires. 100 amp relays are available, may be simpler than 2 small ones. Also use a maxi fuse or circuit breaker, a blade fuse won't cut it.

5 Cooper AT3s fitted today [ I know] but BFG All terrains in 265/65/17 are unobtainium in Sydney for at least the next month and that time frame didn't suit. So far [200km] they are no noisier than the Grand treks and only slightly harsher as you would expect with a LT tyre.

5 x BFG KO2 in 265/70/R17 fitted today on a set of FJ Cruiser Rims I had powder coated in satin black, looks great! Hope they last better than the Bridgestones.

Bought a mini grease gun and some Penrite EP3% grease for the old girl... Super cheap have 50% off grease guns/access and 30% of all Penrite gear!! Thinking about buying a lot of Penrite ATF fluid too for a flush!! 20litres recommended is it?

Also Booked in the 90k service as well as finally getting the head unit replaced under warranty!!

That was a big weekend! Particularly compared to what I did to the Prado - I used windex to clean the inside of the windows...particularly where the dog's nose had left marks...

Changed the oil and gave it a clean on Saturday.

Then the kids decided they wanted to go out for a bit of a drive on Sunday, it's now dirty again :P
