Took it to the Toowoomba outdoor adventure expo and bought it a secondary fuel filter - i hear rumours of fuel contamination down in the southern most state so preparing for that

Lots of vans, campers etc. all the usual culprits. I missed the Brisbane show so this has been good.
I take Google so when they offer me a "show special" i can look it up and show them better specials. So far everything has been matched or better for price

Took it out with the 4WD TV crew for a day out at Cobaw State Forest. Footage should begin to air in a few weeks. Awesome day out and a gear bag full of prizes to boot!

Fitted a secondary fuel filter kit. Dead set easy, i expected to have to jig things around to make it fit.

Put the 'extended' hawse on the pointy end in preparation for winch fitting. Didn't do that though, went for a ride instead.

Brother in law and I wired up a 42" and 22" Stedi CREE led lightbar to my ARB touring rack.
Looks good and reduced wind noise.
Need to paint one side of antenna black. Looks light a bright white light saber when the led's are on.

Today we drove the new Prado the 1060km from our "other" home on the Sunshine Coast qld to our home here in the Blue Mts nsw [a trip I have done numerous times including the up trip 2 weeks ago]. A pleasure to drive in the Auto in comparison to the old 120 manual 1KZ.
Fuel computer was saying Average of 7.8lts/100km so even if a little wrong still happy with those figures car now has 5000kms on odo.
Also had a Wynnum towbar and Redarc Tow-pro brakes fitted while up there.

My weekend:

Fixed up some rubbing issues with my new drawers. Cleaned the engine bay (found out that the car alarm will sound if you try to open the bonnet with the doors locked). Tidied some wiring in the engine bay. Measured and remeasured how long my dual battery cable will need to be (I think 8m of cable will cover me). And finally, copped a chip in the windscreen...just waiting on a call back from RACV to get it repaired.

So the other weekend I ended up hooking up my driving lights, nudge bar, bonnet protector, roof racks and cargo pod before we went to the snow....very impressed with the intensity of my lights at night on the way to Jindabyne!
