Drove thru the city to get to the 4x4 show at the showgrounds. What pmo was that it cost more to park than to get into the show.

But there was lots of interesting stuff, but not much new. Still, I gave the card a good work out.

About to early morning wash my beast... I've got it booked in next week for a bull bar, snorkel and hid combo driving lights. Approximate cost $4700+
I went for an ARB deluxe bar, I know with all my bitching about how the new bar is hiding the tear drop shape lights and I ended up going for an ARB bar but lets face it ARB has been around for a while and leading the 4WD accessory market by a country mile in regards to reliability and not so much price value.

$15 for parking, $18 to get in ($13 for seniors - thats me), kids <15 free.

As for whether its worth it? Depends - if you are after a "show special" probably. It does saves trawling through multiple shops looking for something new - at least its all in the same spot. Pity ARB weren't there (or at least I couldn't see them).

Thanks for the info, the parking is a complete ripoff. ARB weren't exhibiting, they were at the Explore Australia Expo a while back so opted out of this one. They have been running specials in their stores instead, think they end on the 25th (Monday) though.

Well, posing down with rain still so best I could manage was put my auxiliary battery in the mains charger. Have a minecorp bash plate waiting to go on. Maybe tonight after the kids on bed.

Installed a Grande 12,000 pound winch, easier than I thought it would be.
Need to get out and tension the rope on properly.
Then re packed the rear draws to fit in the winch extension strap and block.

Fitted an ARB compressor up to my AMTS combo bracket, the bolts to hold the compressor to the bracket are a horses arse. Other than that all easy and fitted nicely. Took longer to pull apart the loom ARB supply and remove all the extra wiring and put in a decent fuse than anything else. Top marks for the bracket Andrew

Hope you removed the compressor bracket from the engine bay to fit the compressor.

Yeah, definitely removed it. Could you even fit it in place?? My problems were the stupid bolts with the square on them that fits into the bracket on the compressor not wanting to stay where they belong. Every time they popped out they turned, and they were difficult to hold down in place. Wasn't too bad, just a bit time consuming and frustrating I guess.

What I did was rotated the compressor bracket so that the compressor was hanging upside down. Then the square shank of the bolt will sit in the curved slot. Then go around and do up the nuts a bit at a time.

Had the Safari Snorkel fitted by Opposite Lock in Jandakot today thanks to Scott and Chris.
