  • Hi Fido666

Yes I bought the Titan drawers to suit a prado 120 as I received the same story. I removed the 3rd row seats and have mounted the drawers straight into the floor pan.

I made an 18mm spacer from marine ply about 2 inches wide that goes over the rearmost mounting points for the seats, this gives you clearance for the fuel tank connector that resides on the floor pan, and levels the drawers as the front mounting points are raised. I also made some steel brackets that bolt into the front mounting points.

Then I just had to move the two mounting rails on the drawers (easy to do as they are both on nut inserts) to line up with the new mounting points in the prado. Used some masonite to make a fill strip in front of the drawers covered in marine carpet.

    As for the wing mounts.
    Passenger side
    Rear one fits fine
    Middle one fits fine
    Front one, not used
Made up some templates out of cardboard.
Made my own wing out of 9mm ply covered with marine carpet, used the mounting hardware from the one supplied.

    Drivers Side
    Rear one fits fine
middle one, needed a small amount trimmed off
    front one not used.
made up some templates out of cardboard.
Again made the wing out of 9mm ply etc.

Just need to make the front non removable part of the wings now and it will be complete.

    • Hey Smarty, thanks for all the info. Any chance of a pic or 2? I have a voucher to spend with them, the drawers would be a perfect use of it.

      • Thanks for the pics in your build thread Smarty.

Today we installed the Bushskinz bash plates I bought ages ago, well at least the front and sump plates. Still have the transmission plate to go, job for another day. It was a bit fiddly without instructions but we got there.

ID:	653025I solved the problem of bull dust build up on the rear door seal. It was driving me mad that a brand new 4x4 was unable to keep dust out so after a lot of research i came up with 2 solutions. 1 replace original seals with thicker ones that dont have holes (original seals have holes), 2 install a wind scoop on the top of the rear door to direct air flow in the cavity where the door meets the body (i used a length of 1" angle aluminum that matched color pretty well).
              It works great
Bull dust used build up and drop down all over the cargo in the back when ever i opened the rear door, now it is dust free
Ill try and add pics.Click image for larger version

              • I forgot to add that i got the seal from Clark rubber, about $60 for 4.6m only needed about 4.2m but better to have to much than fall short

                • Hi for Project tourer (my ex work vehicle trying to get ready for some of iconic trips with boys)

                  Suspension Upgrade as posted elsewhere

I ultimately went Pedders Trakryder based on some "supposably" informed mates who said cant go wrong with them, all pedders do is suspension and steering, national network and lastly walking distance from home so could drop car off

I do a lot of work 4wd'ing with non mod cars and this car just came out of lease and is now mine to play with and soon to get replaced with a 70 series dual cab likely as prado got a bit beaten up inside with tools and like and like. Looking forward to the V8 a bit more omff pulling trailers but very agricultural inside

Well anyway my project car now

Currently standard except for Tradesman rack and boss told me to fix a few things before new one comes in and can put through business anf it becomes family project so I went suspension as old was shot after 150K in 4 years and fair bit of towing and 4wd'ing

My Bill (or should I say his)
Pedders Trakryder Foam Cell Spring Seat 2 sets $560
Pedders Trakryder Coil Spring 2 sets $196
                  Steering Rack End $68
Power steering flush $85 (supposable my fluid was burnt)
Pedders Trakryder Foam Cell Shock 2 sets $400
Pedders Trakryder Coil Spring 2 sets $244
                  Wheel Alignment multi adjust $120
                  Fitting $340
safety check, report blah blah $0

                  Total $2011

Numbers for those who know what it means and from report

                  Prior
                  Front right 760 mm
                  Front left 753mm
                  Right Rear 755mm
                  Left Rear 760mm

                  After
                  Front right 784 mm
                  Front left 787mm
                  Right Rear 820mm
                  Left Rear 820mm

Rear slightly higher as heavier springs and this is unloaded I am installing draws and steel rear bar for Jerry etc so this extra weight they tell me will bring it down likely 10mm or so as will my prevalence to tow but inch in front and inch and 1/2 or so unloaded in rear

It is next going to Toyota for the full 150K service and check as well as transmission service and I want injector, belts and all that checked and replaced whilst on the company dime but after that up to me (unless I can talk him into some new boots)

Now to decide what next that I pay for thinking winch cradle and which

Hope to see you out there one day and join some trips

                  • Gave it a decent wash and vacuum in readiness for its service today.
I feel if I give the mechanics a clean car, they'll do a better job...or at least take a little more care in doing what needs to be done

Injector feedbacks range from 0.1 to 0.4, happy with that
Had the parking sensors looked at, they had been turned off since the bullbar was fitted because they randomly activate along the highway and last time i went to activate them I couldnt turn them on
It appears apparently the guys who replaced my rear bumper in Launceston didn't bother to reconnect the rear sensors and front ones were supposedly ok. Jumped in the car and started it and the fronts sensors went off with nothing in front for at least 10m so i said look Mr Toyota.....At least they have seen them fail but now needs to go back again as it was too late yesterday

                      • Next time the parking sensors go off, remove it from the bullbar and see if it stops. Sometimes if the hole in the bullbar is slightly too small, it will affect the sensors.

after we had our rear bumper cover replaced on our 120 after some d#ck knob bumped into it at a parking lot, the sensors would go off at anything even when there's nothing. What I've done is just took off the bumper cover, pushed out the sensors, put them back in with the arrow on them pointing up, put it back together and all was sweet. My little 2 cents

That's a great idea. nothing worse than all that dust coming off as you open the door, straight into the boot.
How have you attached the angle to the rear door?

                            • Super glue is holding it very well, we have a grass hoper plague out here atm and they can't knock it loose.
I have shown a few other Prado owners and they are doing the same.
The other advantage is that it doesn't matter if the AC is on fresh or recirculate due to the tight seals
